Care & Use

Reed & Barton pewter is hand crafted in the finest material. Our high luster pewter is non-tarnishing, but like all metal, pewter does oxidize when exposed to air. Pewter oxidizes slowly and will gradually develop a soft warm patina. With minimal care, your pewter gift will become a valued family heirloom. We recommend washing your product by hand in warm, soapy water followed by drying with a soft cloth. Do not put pewter in the dishwasher. If polishing is desired, use a high quality, non-abrasive pewter polish such as Hagerty.
